Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city – Ben Tre – Vinh Long (L, D)
At 08:00, we meet Viet Vision Travel’s tour guide at the lobby of the hotel, then we transfer to My Tho. After 2,5 hour driving, we will visit Vinh Trang pagoda, the biggest pagoda of Tien Giang province which was built in 1989 with more than 60 valued Budha statues.
Then we take boat trip to Ben Tre for our lunch. In the afternoon, we softly bike along the lanes of villages passing fruit gardens: coconuts, longans, rambutans, guavas… and rice fields. We also stop at typical farmers in An Khanh village for a while and continue on cycling to Lach market to see bonsai gardens, and tree variety…
In the end of the day, we are back to boat to Vinh Long home-stay. Overnight in Vinh Long.
Day 2: Cai Be floating market – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)
Breakfast at home-stay, then we take boat to Cai Be floating market, joining with local people to buy special fruits or other souvenirs.
Going to the handicraft village, we will enjoy Cai Be specialties like rice cakes, coconut candy, or popped baby rice…We also see how to make these specialties from local people here.
Walking along the village around 5 minutes, we stop at a Garden where we will have chance to take honey tea. To take full advantage of variety fruit gardens, the farmers develop to keep bees; and we will be introduce how to keep bees and to be for honey….
A one hundred years old Ancient house is our next stop where we can explore the unique, meticulous carvings of old craft men….
We are back to boat to follow the peaceful Tien river to Cu Lao Tan Phong (Tan Phong island) with many delicious fruit gardens. We take a sampan to channels around 20 minutes and walk around the fruit gardens around 10 minutes.
After lunch, we boat back to My Tho where our awaiting vehicle transfers us to Ho Chi Minh City. Our trip ends at lobby of the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
